DIGIMIC used at the CIS CONSILIUM 12 years in a row.
12-Jun-2014 The
Centre for Independent Studies (CIS) annual CONSILIUM Meeting, attended
by 130 Australian & International thinkers, movers & shakers,
for 12 years in a row use DIGIMIC Microphone Control software for our
DIGIMIC microphones and pan tilt zoom cameras to capture all speakers.
130 microphones on two 20 metre long rectangular shaped tables.

The
annual CIS public policy conference, Consilium, held each year over a
weekend at Coolum on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Participants from a variety of backgrounds gather to discuss a range of
topics including terrorism, civility, immigration, higher education,
trade and current worthwhile topics.
In 2008 Prime Minister Kevin Rudd MP attended and took part in the Consillium debate.
In 2011 Prime Minister John Howard attended.
Over
the past twelve years invited speakers have included The Governor
General Major General Michael Jeffery, Prime Minister John Howard MP,
(now Prime Minister) Tony Abbott, Ministers Peter
Costello, Mark Vaile, Robert Hill, Alexander Downer, Malcolm Turnbull,
Kim Beazley, PM Kevin Rudd MP and Craig Emerson MP, independent thinker
and Minister Martin Ferguson MP, Vice-Chancellor Glyn Davis, Professor
Peter Botsman, Rev. Robert Forsyth, Hugh White, Noel Pearson, and
international guests such as Daniel Pipes, Francis Fukuyama, Dr Bjorn
Lomborg of Copenhagen Consensus and prominent Zimbabwean politician,
human rights lawyer, and pro-democracy activist, David Coltart.

Bramshaw ICS DIGIMIC DC10 computer
controlled microphones are used to help the various chairmen identify
via their own computer screen who is speaking and for how long. The
chairman's screen font background changes colour as the speech time
progresses until red shows that time is up. Also, who wishes to speak
and in what order they are queued to speak. Parallel control is given to
the Chair so that, with the click of a PC mouse or tap of a touch
sensitive screen, the Chair controls speaker queuing, speech timing and
more. Verdict from the CIS? "We love it."
In 2013, as a mark of the confidence the CIS has in Bramshaw's capabilities, the PTZ (pan, tilt & zoom) Cameras
were installed and run by Bramshaw. The meeting had an additional
complication not seen before. At Coolum 130 delegates sat around one 35
metre long oval table. As the meeting had to be moved to the ball room
at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, we had to have two concentric
rectangles of tables and had to manage PTZ cameras in this configuration
without obstructing the vew of delegates.

This
meant two cameras to be suspended from the ceiling with an additional
two floor mounted cameras all controlled from our AV Desk.
By
matching the correct technology we provide the required service for
this most important annual meeting of the The Centre for Independent
Studies to make it, year after year, the extremely successful one that
it is.
"...you told me and I forgot, you showed me and I saw, you involved me and I remembered."
